The scramble for oil has the industry evaluating the potential of the Mississippian-age limestone in north-central Oklahoma and south-central Kansas. Horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing have improved the economic outlook for this previously untapped resource. The photographs for the above panorama were taken on October 20, 2012, just before sunset. I found this photo opportunity by following an Oklahoma red-dirt road!

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
