Mighty oaks from little acorns grow is an American proverb. All big things have a small beginning. This is an ink art drawing which scanned in to make a vector illustration. The design uses brown and orange, colours which are associated with fall (autumn). The 'mighty' version of this proverb is known, in the USA at least, from the middle of the 19th century. I have found two meanings. One which says: "Something great can come from a modest beginning". An another which indicates: "Don't give up on the project".

I was extremely happy to find a tree ornament for my Occupational Therapist daughter. (I bought one a few years ago for my Paramedic son) & prior to seeing this I was trying to work out how I could create something similar for her.
