of Christ's future sacrifice and His taking unto Himself the evil of the World.
When St John the Baptist is shown with them we are reminded that he said of Jesus:
Ecce Agnus Dei ... Behold the Lamb of God Meaning Christ will be sacrificed.
Tondo means circle.
Pitti was the family it was made for.
