Long story short, the spade became my daughter’s symbol for living your best life despite being dealt a very bad hand (aggressive cancer at age 23). When my younger daughter asked for her sister’s childhood Christmas stocking for her newborn son, I started looking for another memorial stocking so she would always have a place on my Christmas mantel. A google search for spade Christmas stocking lead me to Zazzle. The print of my daughter’s face came out perfect. It was a little difficult to get the hang of working with the various layers of this particular design. It took awhile to get the design just right. The “small” size was plenty big.
