Mermaids Lumbar Cushion

A Mermaid pillow featuring a digital collage created from an exquisite painting of a mermaid. The original art is from a painted gesso panel of a single mermaid combing her hair. It was created by Robert Anning Bell in 1906, at the height of the Golden Age of Illustration. In my digital collage two mermaids face each other, while combing their hair, using bubbles in the water as mirrors. The bubbles were created from details from antique distressed circular mirrors, and added to the collage.
