The PAW POWER! Mural Project unites local artists, art students, and youth to improve and beautify Oakland Animal Services (OAS) through the creation of indoor and outdoor murals that reflect the positive and loving spirit of the shelter and its animals, staff, and dedicated volunteers. The "Mend" mural featured on this mug was installed and created by artist David Polka in early 2017. This mug celebrates the power and beauty of art, animals, and Oakland! The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
