Mediterranean Steps, Gibraltar, Upper Rock Magnet

The Mediterranean Steps are a historic, challenging nature trail winding up the precipitous eastern cliffs of the Upper Rock of Gibraltar. Originally constructed by the British military as a communication path between defensive fortifications, the route climbs steeply from Jews' Gate up to O'Hara's Battery, the highest point on the Rock. It offers hikers a rugged, sun-drenched trek amidst wild native flora, dramatic limestone arches, and historic military outposts perched high above the sea.
