This mediaeval / Renaissance art Catholic saint poster features a beautiful portrait of St. Margaret of Antioch by the 16th century Italian Renaissance artist known as Marcantonio Raimondi. The picture shows St. Margaret with a dragon. According to legend, the tortures she endured included being swallowed by Satan in the form of a dragon. The cross she wore irritated the monster's throat and he spit her back out. St. Margaret is one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers, a group of saints venerated in mediaeval Germany because these saints protect us from tangible evils.
