Mayan Aztec Calendar (black) 12.21.2012 Mouse Pad

Mayan Aztec Calendar (black) 12.21.2012 Mouse Pad

The Mayan Calendar ends and restarts on December 21, 2012 (Winter Solstice). The calendar is exactly 25,625 years composed of five (5) cycles. Each of the five cycles is exactly 5,125 years. The last (current) of the five cycles ends on 21.12.2012 completing the whole cosmic cycle of 25,625 years! This is an amazing time we're living in! These Five Cycles are located in the middle of the Aztec / Mayan calendar. They are represented by four (4) symbols within the four central rectangles. The frame around the four rectangles (four cycles) represents the last 5th cycle (current cycle) giving it special significance. It signifies the fusion of the previous four cycles and the completion of the Great Cycle of 25,625 years. Our solar system travels in a backward sine wave motion through our galaxy - The Milky Way, known as the Cosmic Serpent to the Ancients. It's represented in the Aztec / Mayan Calendar (around its circumference) by two deities inside of serpents. Each time it passes the Galactic Plane of the Milky Way takes half of the 25,625 year cycle. Last time it passed was around 10,000BC - ending of the last Ice age. A full "S" sine wave is created when our solar system passes the Galactic Plane (Galactic Equator) twice. It completes the Great 25,625 year Cycle on December 21, 2012! The last (current) of the Five Cycles began in 3113 BC and ends (resets) on December 21, 2012. Thereafter, a new Great Cycle of five cycles begins starting from the First Cycle of 5,125 years. The Fifth Solar Cycle (current) of 5,125 years is called Caban in the Maya and Ollin in Aztec. It has multiple meanings including: consciousness, synchronicity, movement, shift, evolution, clue tracking, navigation, and earthquake. To commemorate the significant event of the ending of the Mayan Calendar on December 21, 2012 we have created lots of cool designs on t-shirts, sweatshirts, iphone cases, ipad cases, mouse pads, baby clothes, cards, magnets, keychains, tote bags, hats, and more.

First time ordering with Zazzle so did not know what to expect but it was delivered promptly and has a lovely feel. Wanted a new mouse mat & only ones available were $2 cheap & nasty. Use it with the Peacock Eyes at the top and it looks and feel great. Very happy with printing colours excellent.

The experience buying from Zazzle was great -- the custom made product arrived much faster than I expected (I am in Australia) and they kept me updated with progress emails. The product itself is good quality and I like the simplistic elegant design. The only criticism I have is that it's not really accurately represented by the picture provided. I thought that the mousepad would be a non-porous or laminate surface and as such the gold writing would actually shine against the soft pink. However the design is printed on a thick fabric surface, so the gold colour is just the shade of gold but doesn't stand out from the pink background. (See picture) FYI the soft pink is stronger in real life than in my personal picture. Good quality printing, slightly different look to what I expected. It also smells quite strong on arrival but it's only been a day so this may fade. FYI the soft pink is stronger in real life than in my personal picture.
