To this day, the iron cross sits on the hillside overlooking the mountain city of Corte, Corsica (a territory of France). The Mediterranean winter shows in the dim colours in the background as the wrought iron cross draws our thoughts and attention towards heaven. Just as this cross looks down on the city day after day so God watches over all of His children day after day, moment after moment. He is always there. He never leaves us or forsakes us. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
