Vegvisir: Also known as the runic Viking compass, the Vegvisir (pronounced “VEGG-vee-seer”) is a magical stave that originated from Iceland. In general, the Vegvisir symbol is believed to help the bearer find their way, especially through rough weather. The Square and Compass: Freemasonry describes itself as a beautiful system of morality, veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols. The symbolism is mainly, but not exclusively, drawn from the manual tools of stonemasons - the square and compasses, the level and plumb rule, the trowel, among others. A moral lesson is attached to each of these tools, although the assignment is by no means consistent. The meaning of the symbolism is taught and explored through ritual. I bought this fabric to make some homewares for a Citroen fanatic. Hit the spot perfectly. Quality base fabric and the car graphics are well done. Great printing, colours as I expected. I did not a border of unprinted fabric around the graphics which didn’t worry me but may affect some. The graphic does not spread from selvedge to selvedge.
