Mary Cassatt - The Boating Party Large Clock

The Boating Party (La Barque), painted by Mary Cassatt in 1893–1894, shows a woman holding a baby opposite a man rowing a sail-equipped boat on bright blue water. The high viewpoint, bold cropping, flattened shapes and strong decorative colour reflect Cassatt's interest in Japanese prints and turn this leisure scene into one of her most ambitious compositions. This oil on canvas is held by the National Gallery of Art in Washington.

I bought this clock as a gift for my husband for our 50th wedding anniversary. The first one went missing in transit so Zazzle ordered a replacement which arrived quickly. It's a lovely clock and I'm sure will look beautiful on the wall when we eventually hang it on ANZAC Day. The printing is lovely.
