Maru ni Mitsukashiwa Wrapping Paper

This design is based on the 'three oak leaves split' from 'Heian Monkan' and other sources (created on April 6, 2013). In ancient times, oak leaves were used as plates to serve food. Ancient cooks were called 'Kashiwade,' and the 'Kashiwa' from 'Kashiwade' was taken to name the oak tree. The 'leaf guardian deity' that protects tree leaves is said to reside in oak trees, and Shinto priests who use oak leaves in Shinto rituals use the oak crest. Oak patterns are scattered throughout the clothing depicted in picture scrolls from the Fujiwara period (compiled by Ito Kosaku in 'Japanese Crests')

This wrapping is very high quality, the paper is nice and thick and the colour is gorgeous. I always use blue at Christmas and was having trouble finding just the right colour and quality - this roll was just perfect. The quality, design and colour are exactly as expected. No disappointments here. Won’t ever go back to cheap wrapping that tears at the corners ever again.
