【Maruni Igeta】Igeta crest / The frame of a well is called 'Igeta', and a circular one is called 'Izutsu'. However, in the crest, a square shape is called 'Izutsu', and a diamond shape is called 'Igeta'. Since ancient times, a place where water springs and quenches thirst has been considered a sacred place where spirits dwell and gods are worshiped. As a pattern, it is likely that it was used based on such religious significance. The first recorded family crest is the 'I' character crest of the Ii family in 'Miken Shokamon', and in the case of the Ii family, it is likely that it was transformed into the 'Izutsu' crest.
