【Maru-ni-futatsubiki】The Hiki-Ryo crest, or Hiki-Ryo mon, is believed to have originated from the curtain used on the battlefield during the Genpei period. The military curtain was made by sewing five pieces of fabric together, with the middle piece dyed black, called 'nakaguro'. This is called 'Hitotsu Hiki-Ryo'. 'Futatsu Hiki-Ryo' is made by layering fabric in white, black, white, black, and white from top to bottom... I originally ordered 1 tie to test and ensure I liked it with the suits we had ordered! The tie came and it was perfect! We loved it! The colours were bright and the tie was beautifully made. I then ordered the 6 additional ties and the colours are slightly different. The 6 ties were a little less vibrant and the white background was slightly different!
