Marine Life Jellyfish - Ernst Haeckel Decoupage Tissue Paper

Discomedusae–Scheibenquallen from Kunstformen der Natur (1904) by german zoologist, naturalist, professor, and marine biologist, Ernst Haeckel (1843–1919). Original from Library of Congress. The geometric shapes and natural forms, captured with exceptional precision. This Haeckel’s print depicted the Discomedusae, a subclass of jellyfish. The centre and bottom-centre images are Desmonema annasethe. The flowing tentacles reportedly reminded Haeckel of his wife’s flowing hair.
