Marcello Dudovich Actress Elena Maskowska

Marcello Dudovich was an Italian painter, illustrator, and poster designer in the early 1900s and was considered one of the progenitors of Italian poster design. In his early years he worked in Milan and Bologna and built a renowned career as an illustrator. Dudivich is celebrated as one of Italy's greatest poster artists and was influenced by many contemporary artists but ultimately his reputation comes from his having developed his own distinctive and richly coloured style. This stunning portrait is of actress Elena Maskowska wearing a bright orange dress with a luxurious white fur coat draped over her shoulders a matching wide-brimmed grey hat with feathers perched on her orange curls.

This was exactly what was wanted for my piano crazy grandson! He is self taught & is now having lessons by a top teacher and has been asked to play at various venues in the US!
