This is a simple picture of Mary, mother of Jesus, as outlined using her many names known throughout the world. The original is black ink on watercolor. It’s an outline of Our Blessed Mother Mary on just a two coloured background, and the entire picture is made of many of the names we have for Mary. In all, the picture contains 130 names for Mary. Some are really well known such as Immaculate Conception or Queen of Heaven. Others are new to me, like Tower of Ivory, and Spotless Dove of Beauty. All her names are reminders of her most honoured place next to our Saviour Jesus in heaven, and the unique role she played in our salvation story.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
