Manet Carnations and clematis Floral greeting card

Fine art greeting card inspired by a wonderful floral still-life by French artist Edouard Manet, titled Carnations and clematis in a crystal vase. The painting was completed around 1882, just a few months before Manet's death. At this time he was not able to leave his house, so instead he started to paint the beautiful flowers that was brought to him by friends. These late paintings are very special, the flowers are rendered with a new simplicity and freshness. His own days were slipping away, but he painted the flowers at their very peak of their vitality. He especially delighted in capturing the underwater part of the flowers, as well as the sparkle of light in the water. Since the card can be used in many ways, the message page has been left blank. Use, for example, as a birthday card or a get well card, or whenever you feel like sending some fine art flowers. Flowers are always right, I think :)
