Phases: Since the ancient times throughout the history, the moon was one of the most inspirational topics in man's mind. People wrote poems, artists inspired their visions, cultures believed in many superstitions, myths, magic and fictions created all around the moon. Therefore, the moon got so much expressions like romantic, magical, raging, mystic etc.. depending on its phase. Because of the moon has many phases, each one appears in certain time according to its location from earth, it starts from 'New', 'Crescent', 'Quarter' and 'Full' this is the 4 phases of the moon then goes to the next four phases. in total 8 phases, to start all over again from 'New'. This Mandala is totally inspired by the moon phases phenomenon, So the central blue back is the full moon, on top circling 12 crescents and 12 quarters. The outer rim shows the precise 8 phases of the moon starting from the top 'New' in black circle to 'Full' in white circle down. The four circular shaped on each side are an ancient symbols of moon representing a candle like lighting the darkness of the night. Besides there are 4 astrological signs in each corner related to the moon.
