Mahjong Peacock tile invitation

The picture is taken from a Mah-Jong set tile made from bone and bamboo (dovetailed together). The set was probably made in China between 1920 and 1940. The actual tile is quite small (measuring just 1.8cm x 2.5cm - 0.7" x 1") and, although the artists probably worked with magnifying glasses, inevitably there were brush strokes that went astray. My original photograph showed all this, but I spent a lot of time tidying up the image using a photo design tool – getting rid of mis-strokes and smudges, and copying brushstrokes to places in the engraving that had been missed out.
