This Madonna and Christ Child are crèche figures and are similar to many created in Naples, Italy, during the 17th and 18th centuries. Wealthy Neapolitan families had open houses at Christmastime to display their figures. The families commissioned sculptors to fashion beautiful settings and elaborately adorned figures for their nativity scenes. This photograph is rendered in a watercolor style.

My grandson liked the card. Your cards are always great quality. I enjoyed being able to use a photo of him in the card, as these cards are keepsakes. The only disappointment was that I couldn’t get a gamer themed card. He is a very passionate gamer.
