Madonna and Child Christmas Holiday Card

This beautiful oil on canvas embodies innocence, graciousness, and tender cherishing. It’s titled “L’Innocence” (Innocence) and was painted in 1893 by William-Adolphe Bouguereau, a French painter who lived from November 30, 1825 to August 19, 1905. In his realistic genre paintings, he created modern interpretations of classical subjects. He was considered a Neoclassicist and a traditionalist. This painting has captured my heart, and I’m so glad to be able to share it with you. (The lovely background you see on the inside of the card is a floral pattern that, I feel, echoes the gentleness of the painting.)

This is a magnificent card with the gold frame. Very beautiful and elegant/ A special card. The printing is excellent- colors are clear and crisp. The gilding on the frame looks like gold leaf yet it is not.
