Colourized photo from 1895 Original title: Machine division in Tuskegee Institution Photographer: Unknown Location: Tuskegee, AL In 1881, a former slave by the names of Lewis Adams, and George W. Campbell, a former slave owner, joined together and founded this school. It was the largest historically black university, set up as a private school. Adams, could not read or write, but he has a strong background in the trades, mostly in tin smithing, harness making, and shoe making. This was one of the first trade schools around, and they taught everything here. Carpentry, machinists, electricity, chemistry, taking care of the farm, etc. Everything you need to know if you wanted to get into the trades.

Turned this into a lockdown activity with my partner for our anniversary. I got the 110 pieces since neither of us are big on puzzles. It's was just one of the nice little fun activities we did together. Probably took 30 minutes all up. We're gona frame it and keep it as a memory. The quality of the print was fine. Our teeth look like they stick out a bit just due to the the shape of the pieces around our teeth. But no problems.
