Lupine Petals Magnet

Lots of Lupine Petals Lupine is not the first of the wildflowers in Northern Minnesota, but it makes quite a showing when the time is right for them. On a hillside just below a soccer field I pulled the car over, got out and jumped a flooded ditch to get to the large field of purple blooms. The 10 stems I took back to my home soon were laid out in various configurations on the scanner. This image was the result of the last set up where I removed all the petals from the stems and laid them thickly on the scanner plate. This is the full size 8.5 x 11.7 image that resulted. I made three others with the flowers still on the stems. And with this image I will be able to zoom in to small sections for variation in the design. From Duluth, ChromaNatura Steven
