A group of Renoir's friends relaxing and enjoying a casual afternoon lunch party on a balcony at the restaurant Maison Fournaise along the Seine river in Chatou, France.
About the artist:
Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) was a leading painter in the development of the Impressionist style. Renoir's paintings are noteable for their vibrant light and saturated colour, most often focusing on people in intimate and candid compositions.
