I have a close connection to this piece as it came about in a dream and revealed itself first as a story. I dreamed about this for several months in the beginning of 2017 and did not write the story down or design the painting until November 2017. It took several months to complete and is created with thousands of tiny dots using a tiny paint brush. The style is inspired by aboriginal artwork. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
