Another instalment in my very popular "Loup-Garou" series (French for "werewolf") - all featuring wolves and beautiful girls in French-inspired portrait settings. "Blanche Neige" means of course "Snow White" - featuring the fairytale princess herself, running with the wolves! You can see a cosy cottage in the background which is inspired by Marie Antoinette's own idealised "Hameau" village in the gardens of Versailles. This one debuted at the Celebration Art Stroll in February of 2011. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
