John K. Hillers, photographer, May 10, 1875, Albumen silver print. -- "I found six Cheyennes who had just left the war path, all strappen big fellows. I took them among the rocks and set them up as food for my camera," wrote John K. Hillers in a letter to his brother. He made this portrait of Little Bear, a proud Cheyenne warrior seated holding a long pipe, the day after his arrival in Oklahoma photographing scenes of life in what was then called the Eastern Indian Territory.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
