Listen to the Human Canaries Sticker

The canary is a symbol of care, awAIRness, and advocacy. Inspired by the miners’ canaries who once warned of life-threatening airborne dangers, this design honours “human canaries”, those whose bodies suffer adverse reactions to fragranced chemicals, essential oils, smoke, vapes, and other pollutants/VOCs that many overlook. The phrase “They already know” speaks to lived experiences. The raging headaches, the respiratory strain, the life-threatening anaphylaxis, the displacement, not being believed, the forced isolation and endless burden of navigating a scented world filled with major access barriers. Everyone would benefit from taking the human canaries' concerns seriously, as we ALL need clean air. Perfect for laptops, water bottles, journals, mailers, vehicles, or anywhere that needs more awAIRness. A conversation starter that will hopefully make shift happen.
