I painted my own uniquely original young woman of colour I named Everton who is stuck between two lifetimes. The ghost orchid and the rhododendron she wears in her red hair symbolises those two lifetimes. One lifetime (ghost orchid) she can only visit once a year and the other she can return to every year (rhododendron).
