    Colourized photo from 1900 Original title: Adult reading room, Carnegie library of Homestead Photographer: Longfellow, Alden and Harlow (Firm), architect Location: 510 East 10th Avenue, Munhall, PA This is the Carnegie Library of Homestead, built in 1898, it was the 7th one built and is currently the third oldest Carnegie library in continuous operation. Today there are a total of 2509 Carnegie libraries. But it was much more than just a library, it had a gymnasium, a swimming pool, a billiards room and a huge stage.
