Let me tell you a secret postcard
Or laissez-moi vous dire un secret, or Let me tell you a secret of the affair of the diamond necklace A free hand digital painting, visually referencing the Marie Antoinette Vogue fashion shoot, with textures to add an aged look and inspired by the affair of the Diamond Necklace … The “Affair of the Diamond Necklace” was a mysterious incident in the 1780s at the court of Louis XVI ofFrance involving his wife, Queen Marie Antoinette. The scandal which followed the incident, raised French hatred of Marie Antoinette to a fever pitch. As Napoleon once commented- “The Queen’s death must be dated from the Diamond Necklace Trial”. The reputation of the totally innocent Queen, which was already tarnished by gossip, was ruined by the implication that she had participated in a crime to defraud the crown jewellers of the cost of a very expensive diamond necklace. The Affair was historically significant as one of the events that led to the French populace’s disillusionment with the monarchy, which, among other causes, eventually culminated in the French Revolution The trial, and the subsequent Memoirs of its chief feminine player, the Comtesse de la Motte, are also credited by many historians with being the gust of foul wind which finally fanned the long-smouldering fire of popular discontent into the uncontrollable conflagration of the French Revolution. http://www.marie-antoinette.org/articles/diamon... There are so many different variations of the story, but what is plainly clear is Queen Marie Antoinette was completely innocent. You can read more on the affair on the necklace here .. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affair_of_the_Diam... They have made a film on the story staring Hilary Swank Jeanne de Saint-Rémy de Valois and Joely Richardson as Queen Marie Antoinette, its visually beautiful and compelling viewing from start to finish.Original Artwork © Wickedly Lovely/Julie McIver

Perfect for the occasion I was using it for.
I was able to delete the lines so I could put in more wording.
Had an envelope so the address side wasn't necessary. Print quality and paper quality lovely.

Everyone loves a letter in the mail that’s not a bill and this certainly satisfied many! We have received the most wonderful feedback on the quality of these postcards. We opted for these so we didn’t need to extra cost of envelopes. Although delivery took a little longer than I expected, they were absolutely worth the wait! Perfect! The font was just what we wanted, the spacing was perfect and the print quality of the photo was beautiful
