Leicester Vintage Floral Pattern Paper Plate

Leicester was designed as a block printed wallpaper by John Henry Dearle in 1912. Inspired by William Morris' earlier design "Bachelors Button" of 1892, Leicester evokes the romance of the mediaeval past that so inspired Morris. Dearle was a British textile and stained glass designer trained by Pre-Raphaelite artist and craftsman William Morris. Dearle designed many of the later wallpaper and textiles released by Morris and Company in the late 1800's. Matching party napkins are also available in this design.
