"Dance At The Rouge" ("Bal au Moulin-Rouge") was created by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec in 1890.
Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was a famous Post- Impressionist painter, lithographer, and illustrator, who documented the Bohemian night life of the Montmartre section of Paris. When the Rouge cabaret opened its doors, Toulouse-Lautrec was commissioned to produce a series of posters. Afterward, the cabaret reserved a special chair for him. They took great pleasure in his paintings, which they displayed.
