Landscape from Saint-Rémy by Vincent Van Gogh was painted in 1889 when van Gogh was voluntarily admitted to the mental hospital Saint-Paul-de-Mausole. The motif is his interpretation of the view from his room, which he depicted in several versions with varying conditions of weather and light. The serpentine brush-strokes and clear contours are characteristic of the late van Gogh. The rolling cloud formations herald a less sober mode of painting than Impressionism. The landscape as motif is on its way to becoming a state of soul, not least under the influence of Paul Gauguin, with whom van Gogh painted in Arles in 1888.

tumbler is firm and good size to hold a good grip on. Lid is durable as so is the tumbler itself. non breakable. holds just about 2 cups of coffee. image is good and stands out well for others to notice the printing of my artwork. the ink color black turned out well. that part I like.. it's solid and easily readable as far as the word/lettering is on the tumbler. The ink color Red is good as well, but the other colors not as vibrant as I thought, but yet I still like it!
