Lake Treman Poster

This fine art photography travel poster features Lake Treman which is at the top of Buttermilk Falls State Park, just south of Ithaca in the Finger Lakes Region of New York state. The water drops more than 600 feet over 10 separate waterfalls and eventually empties into Cayuga Lake. On this lovely autumn day, clouds and sun alternated to create a fascinating pattern in the sky which was reflected in the water. The woods surrounding the lake were ablaze with fall foliage colours of orange, yellow, red, gold and green. Golden shrubbery framed the foreground.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
