Lac Daumesnil (c 1898) by Henri Rousseau is a vintage post impressionism fine art landscape nature painting. This nature scene includes people walking on a path, a grey sky, and a variety of trees and plants in the forest surrounding the man made lake. A beautiful, colourful rainbow over lake Daumesnil after a rain storm. About the artist: Henri Julien Felix Rousseau (1844-1910) was a French Post Impressionist painter in the Naive genre, primitive manner or Primitivism. He was also known as Le Douanier, the customs officer.
