"Lady with a Bosch Egg" Greeting Card
Lady with a Bosch Egg - with several nods to master Hieronymus Bosch - his fantastical elements - this piece really celebrates my love for mediaeval and renaissance art. This wide eyed renaissance beauty holds Bosch's strange egg creature amongst a desolate landscape, the muted colours really giving this painting an Old World feel. It was truly a joy for me to paint, and I can hardly stop looking at it myself! Hieronymus Bosch is a huge influence on my work - a big part of the reason I became interested in gothic and fantasy art. My own lowbrow big eyed take Bosch's work (also with hints of Cranach and da Vinci in there) - a celebration of my love for Art History in general as well. This is my own original acrylic painting.

A beautiful card. Highest quality materials and print. Misunderstood the explanation of the gold accent. I took it as the design would be metallic in its appearance. Still a lovely card and I am extremely happy with it overall. Perfect, only that I expected the gold to be metallic.
