Lady of the Dawn (detail). I arose before dawn and was contemplating the magnificence of a new day. I imagined it personified as a woman, and as I started to paint, my mind wandered to a very special friend, Rachel Fairy, whose smile, radiance, and innocence seemed just like the new dawn. As I painted - thinking about Rachel and the dawn - I mysteriously painted her portrait, with out any reference material. At the same time she had been writing me a letter from where she was many miles away. Her hair represents Love. A detail of Lady of the Dawn is featured in Doreen Virtue’s Goddess Guidance Oracle Card Deck as 'Oonagh'. “There is no need to hurry or force things to happen. A beautiful card. Highest quality materials and print. Misunderstood the explanation of the gold accent. I took it as the design would be metallic in its appearance. Still a lovely card and I am extremely happy with it overall. Perfect, only that I expected the gold to be metallic.
