This design features an artwork by the Italian Baroque painter Giovanni Battista Salvi da Sassoferrato (1609–1685), who was known for his strong commitment to the style of the Renaissance master Raphael. It shows the Virgin Mary with her hands clasped together as she prays to God on behalf of her son, Jesus Christ. The original painting was completed in 1650.
