Laceleaf Maple on Foggy Autumn Morning in Portland Jigsaw Puzzle

A laceleaf Japanese maple in the Strolling Pond area of the Portland Japanese Garden on a foggy autumn morning. Quite possibly the most photographed tree in the entire world, this laceleaf Japanese maple was planted in 1968 and is estimated to be about 70 years old today. The origins of this tree are a little uncertain but best guesses from the gardeners place the tree at about 20 years old when it was planted.
