Kyujutsu T-Shirt

Kyujutsu is the art of Archery originating with the Samurai class of feudal Japan. The bow, not the sword, was the most important weapon of the time. One skilled archer could inflict fatal wounds in rapid succession from a distance. A skilled archer on horseback was an exponentially more deadly war machine. The original Samurai warrior was a mounted bowman. As the Samurai class evolved, it was expected that every warrior be an all-around specialist with any honorable weapon. In that regard, the Samurai more closely resembled the mediaeval Knights of Europe. The bow dominated the scene until the introduction of personal firearms.
