Kwame Nkrumah, Pan African Unity T-Shirt

Kwame Nkrumah (1909-1972) was the leading figure in Ghana's struggle for independence and one of the most influential voices of Pan African unity in the 20th century. Born in the Gold Coast under British colonial rule, he studied abroad in the United States and Britain before returning to Africa with a vision of liberation and continental solidarity. In 1957, under his leadership, Ghana became the first sub-saharan african nation to achieve independence from european colonial rule. As Ghana's first Prime Minister and later President, he championed education, infrastructure and African self-determination while advocating tirelessly for a united continent. He is remembered as a visionary fo African unity and a central architect of the modern Pan African Movement.
