KRW The Empress Fairy Tarot Card Poster
My own interpretation of The Empress from the major arcana of Tarot cards. The Empress symbolises motherhood, the earth and practical wisdom. She is often associated with pregnancy, but could also be interpreted as a situation being “pregnant” with opportunities. Also a need to wait or be patient as something comes to fruition. She is usually depicted with shafts of wheat and/or fruit representing abundance, harvest, nourishment and the process of sowing our dreams and waiting to reap the rewards. The waterfall is also a sign of abundance, but it also symbolises motion and power. The Empress holds a shield with the symbol of Venus, which is the sign that rules this card. This suspect of the card expresses love, beauty, art and pleasure. Being present on a shield indicates that love shields us; when we love, we are protected by it, but paradoxily, we are also made vulnerable by it. The heart in her crown also symbolises love; the ever-present and complete love of a mother. The crown itself is made up of 12 stars, representing the 12 signs of the Zodiac, showing the Empress as the mother of all. Key words associated with this card are: Promise, Femininity, Abundance, Creativity and Assurance.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning! The print is precise, clear and of an excellent standard. It was cleverly packaged so there wasn’t a blemish or crease. Perfect!
