Koala - Sleeping Tote Bag

Koala - Sleeping is a photograph taken in Australia. This is a wild koala, sleeping in a tree next to a road we have been driving. The koala bear is an adorable, tree dwelling marsupial that is perhaps the most popular animal native to Australia. Koalas are lovely, fluffy animals known for spending most of their lives sleeping on trees and eating eucalyptus leaves. The word “koala” in the Aborigine language means “no water” which explains the animal’s lack of need for water. Koalas are not even related to bears. They are distant cousins of the wombat. The reason they’re called koala bears is their teddy bear look. Just like other marsupials, a koala baby is also born immature and develops further in the mother’s pouch. I love Koalas because they are so darn cute. They don't really do much of anything, but discovering and observing wild Koalas in the trees is very exciting. One of the most touching moments for me in Australia.
