The beak is black and the belly a shade of blue grey. The birds are facing each other and almost kissing. Between them is a pile of fall Oak leaves and a single acorn, a symbol of their love that also reflects the collecting of acorns undertaken by these birds during fall. These coasters were just what I expected. Of great quality and with perfect color and design. The coasters have a cork back finish but are very sturdy. I would recommend this coaster for any occasion.
