[Kijirou Kida] 1858 [1858] December 24 - 1949 [1949] He was born as the eldest son of Sakuzo KITANI in Awasaki Village, Ishikawa County, Kaga Province. His birthplace was the eighth branch of the Toemon KIYA family, a wealthy merchant who lived during the Kaga Domain period. He went to Kobe to make a fortune as a business man, and returned to his hometown at the age of 63 to live in seclusion. He lived a simple life, supported students, donated large amounts of money to social works, educational institutions, etc., but was unconditional and did not seek any reward. This design was drawn based on the 'Family crest of the Kitani family' described in the section of the main documents related to the Toemon KITANI family in "Kichijiro Okina KITANI" written by Takahisa SHIMIZU (2013/8/8).
