Kichijiro Kidani Coaster
Kichijiro Kidani was born on December 24, 1858, in Awakazaki Village, Ishikawa District, Kaga Domain (present-day Ishikawa Prefecture), as the eldest son of Sakuzo Kidani. His family was a branch of the wealthy Kidani family, who were merchants serving the Kaga Domain. He made his fortune as a businessman in Kobe, and at the age of 63, he returned to his hometown and lived a simple life. He donated large sums to students, social welfare projects, and educational institutions without expecting anything in return. This design was created based on the 'Kitani Family Crest' from the main documents related to the Kidani family, as published in 'Kichijiro Kidani' by Takahisa Shimizu (created on August 8, 2013).

Beautiful horse drawing on this coaster makes it a great conversation piece. Artist is very talented! The printing Zazzle did is nice and crisp, but not as black as I would have liked and the edges had some execess on them But some sandpaper fixed the issue
