This note card features a lively green katydid on rudbeckia blossoms in autumn shades of red, orange and brown. Katydids are medium-sized to large insects. They are usually green, sometimes with brown markings, and are camouflaged to blend with the leaves they feed on. Their very long antennae distinguish them from grasshoppers. Seen up close, they seem to be aliens from outer space!
